Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
This privacy policy explains how DanishCasinoGuide ("we", "us") collects and processes personal data when you visit this website. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.
1. Data controller
DanishCasinoGuide is the data controller for the processing of personal data described in this policy. Contact: via our contact form or the email address shown in the site footer. [Replace with your registered company name, address and email before going live.]
2. What data we collect
Server logs: When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and timestamps. This is necessary for security and to keep the site running (legal basis: legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Logs are deleted automatically after a maximum of 30 days.
Contact form: If you contact us, we process your name, email address and the contents of your message in order to reply (legal basis: consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). Messages are deleted no later than 12 months after the conversation is closed.
Cookies: We only set non-essential cookies with your prior consent. See our cookie policy for the full list, purposes and storage periods. Cookie Policy.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data to: (a) operate and secure the website (legitimate interest), (b) respond to enquiries (consent / legitimate interest), (c) remember your cookie choices and language preference (strictly necessary), and (d) — only with your explicit consent — measure site usage through analytics.
4. Sharing of data
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with our hosting provider acting as a data processor under a data processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28). If you click an external link to a casino operator, that operator becomes an independent data controller for any data you provide on their site — read their privacy policy before registering.
5. Transfers outside the EU/EEA
We aim to use service providers within the EU/EEA. If a transfer to a third country takes place, it will only happen with appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (GDPR Art. 46).
6. Storage periods
Server logs: max. 30 days. Contact enquiries: max. 12 months after closure. Cookie consent record: 12 months, after which we ask again. Other data is deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — for cookies, simply open Cookie settings in the footer.
8. Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, www.datatilsynet.dk.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with the date of the latest revision.
